13: 2-Disc Accompaniment CD

Tony-award winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, turns his music sensibility towards the ordeals of adolescents in 13. The musical focuses on the life of 13-year-old Evan Goldman as he moves from New York City to Appleton, Indiana, and his dilemma when the move conflicts with the celebration of his Bar Mitzvah. This show premiered in Los Angeles in 2007 and moved to Broadway in 2008. Despite the popularity of Jason Robert Brown among theatre-goers, the show ran for only 3 months.

This new CD, produced by Ghostlight Records, includes the Original Cast Recording as well as 11 karaoke tracks of the biggest hits. Two of the songs, “Get Me What I Need” and “Being a Geek” are available in two different keys enabling boys with changing voices to sing these numbers.

There are 33 tracks on this album: Disc 1 contains 18 tracks from the original Broadway cast; Disc 2 contains 11 accompaniment tracks and 4 bonus tracks featuring Jason Robert Brown performing his own numbers.
